Signs of a commercial roof recover opportunity
- There is only one roof present — if the roof has already been recovered once, you will need to completely reroof or evaluate whether the roof is a candidate for a coating.
- The roof is structurally sound with no significant moisture or deterioration issues.
- Adding a solar reflective TPO or PVC surface to a dark roof is desired to help lower rooftop temperatures.

Ways to recover/application methods
An EverGuard® Fleece-back TPO or PVC recover can be installed mechanically with fasteners or with a Low Rise Foam (LRF) adhesive such as GAF LRF Adhesive XF. For your most cost-effective installation we recommend plates and fasteners.
Steps to recover an existing roof with LRF adhered fleece-back membrane
Step 1: Evaluate the roof
Perform moisture scan, check for structural deterioration, number of existing roofs, roof slope and taper, repairs, patches and blisters.
Step 2: Conduct an adhesion test
If the adhesive releases, consider mechanically attaching the membrane. For more details on how to conduct an adhesion test, please refer to gaf.com/everguard_adhered
Step 3: Attach the membrane
Follow LRF installation instructions found at gaf.com/everguard_adhered.
Steps to recover an existing roof with a mechanically attached fleeceback membrane
Step 1: Evaluate
Perform moisture scan, check for structural deterioration, number of existing roofs, roof slope and taper, repairs, patches and blisters.*
Step 2: Attach the membrane
Attach the membrane following fastener pattern and density codes for your region. Follow installation instructions found at gaf.com/everguard_mechanically attached.
