GAF Manufacturing Facility to Bring Jobs and Community Commitment to Newton, Kansas

GAF is expanding residential roofing production operations by building a new state-of-the-art shingle manufacturing facility in Newton, Kansas. The project began with a groundbreaking ceremony on June 5, 2025. Production at the new GAF manufacturing facility will start in 2027, with the plant reaching full capacity by mid-2029. The new GAF plant will add capacity to help meet the growing demand for market-leading residential roofing products and provide the resources needed to fuel further innovation.

GAF Roofing Academy Offers Second Chances and Helps Build New Futures

For justice-involved individuals, it can be very difficult to find a job and get their lives back on track. According to an analysis of the Bureau of Justice Statistics' National Former Prisoner Survey by the Prison Policy Initiative, more than 93% of 25–44-year-olds who were once incarcerated are either employed or actively seeking work. That's a significant percentage of the labor force that's often dismissed unfairly or ignored entirely.
